Thanks for spending the week with us while we unveiled NC Nursecast! We will be back next week with more fun findings, but here's an executive summary to recap what all we covered this week! https://t.co/etDEZix00x
NC retains the nurses it educates! Two years after completing a nursing program in the state, 92% of LPNs, 92% of ADNs, and 86% of BSNs remain in NC! For comparison, medical school graduate retention rates in NC are about 38%. @NCCommColleges, @UNC_System, @NCICUhighered.
Something unique is happening in Southeast NC – A small projected RN surplus is likely due to high retention of nursing graduates from local training programs. Expanded story about the SE coming soon. Stay tuned.
Just as regions of NC vary in terms of populations, economies, & even landscapes, so too do the supply/demand for their nurse workforces. NC Nursecast allows users to customize workforce projections by Medicaid, AHEC, & urban/rural. https://t.co/BUxrK7YTfP
