We’re now back for our last keynote session of #NatspecNC23 but first we’re kicking off by hearing from Anthony, who works for @BhamCityCouncil following support from @HiveCollege
#NatspecNC23 Day 1 has been a huge success. We have attended some fantastic workshops and have met some wonderful people from different Colleges across the UK!
Our conference dinner is now underway, we are looking forward to seeing the student entertainment 💖 @Natspec
Our pre-16 cohort recently have been exploring ‘past, present,future’.
A group of students visited Portland Basin Museum to see what life was like previously. We then visited IKEA to see the range of choices nowadays. Next week we will be focusing on future! #college#works4u
Lunch is well underway here where our catering students have been tasked with creating a meal from 4 key ingredients. In the last post we showed how flour was being used, now we move on to the other three ingredients: spring onions, chicken and onions! #works4u#college
Kicking off our cook-along is the most humble of our challenge ingredients: flour! Our students have to know the value of flour and how to master the art of using it to it's full potential in roux's, pastries and today, Pitta Bread! #flour#works4u#gluten#cookalong
