World Fertilizer has some brand new #wednesdaywisdom to share!
This week’s wisdom comes from our most recent May/June issue where Sushanta Dutta, Arun Kumar Panda, Anurag Tej Kotagiri, and Umashankaran, Reitz India Ltd, outline the design and life-cycle considerations for process fans in fertilizer plants.
“As the industry continues to evolve, with increasing emphasis on efficiency, reliability, and environmental performance, the role of well-engineered fan systems becomes even more critical. By adopting a rigorous engineering approach and focusing on life-cycle performance, plant operators can achieve significant improvements in operational efficiency and reliability.”

We are now three weeks away from AmmoniaTech 2026! Join us and 500+ other industry peers on Thursday, 18th June 14:00 - 17:00 (BST)! https://t.co/baApvGf7sH
Today we want to spotlight a presentation from our Keynote speaker @fertiglobe.
Hear from 𝗡𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗻 𝗩., CEO, 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗲 EBIC and EFC, Egypt. Narayanan is set to deliver a presentation titled '𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗳𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀: 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗮 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗜'.
Join Narayanan as he explains how ammonia feeds the world, and it is also one of heavy industry's biggest carbon emitters. The hard part is not deciding to decarbonise; it is doing it without giving up cost, reliability, or market share. There are difficult choices to be made between carbon capture-based and renewable-based routes, but the largest near-term gains are hiding in the plants already running today. Getting it right comes down to two things: disciplined life-cycle asset management, and AI; from predictive maintenance to agentic systems and live, plant-wide energy monitoring. Together they turn everyday reliability into carbon performance you can actually measure, certify, and sell.
Don’t miss out and hear not only from Narayanan and 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗲, but experts from 𝗖𝗔𝗦𝗔𝗟𝗘, 𝗦𝘄𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗸, 𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗦 and more! Plus experience our virtual exhibition booths, featuring all of our speakers and others.

.@FertilizersEuro has released a statement on the European Council’s decision to suspend customs tariffs for one year on key nitrogen-based fertilizers, including urea and ammonia. 🇪🇺 💶
“At a time when the EU is calling for greater strategic autonomy, resilient supply chains and stronger domestic industrial capacity, this decision sends the wrong signal. It risks weakening the very European fertilizer production base that the EU has recently recognised as essential for food security, farmers’ resilience and Europe’s long-term competitiveness.”
