Tony Stella is the modern benchmark of movie poster and cover art, and by far my favourite. I can't believe the news today. He created some of the most beautiful, colourful, and striking pieces of film art that I've ever seen.
I want Tom Cruise to have an Oscar, but honestly, I reckon he's got some magic brewing with Alejandro Inarritu
Who do I think @TheAcademy should include?
He's been acting since 1962 and still going strong over 60 years later. Blockbusters. Indie. Cults. Classics
Kurt Russell

A League of Their Own ('92)
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
'Are you crying?'
'No'
'Are you crying?.. ARE YOU CRYING? There's no crying... THERE'S NO CRYING IN BASEBALL!'
Hands down, #GeenaDavis & #TomHanks star in one of the best and funniest sporting comedies ever made.

Greyhound ('20)
⭐️⭐️⭐️½
This was my first, and still the only Apple TV+ film I've seen so far. This #TomHanks#WWII adventure runs at a very swift 90 minutes and throws you straight into the deep end. Action scenes are well done. A pleasant surprise to be honest.

The Judge ('01)
⭐️⭐️⭐️
A rare step away from horror for director @MickGarrisPM as he tries his hand at something new - a courtroom drama. Quite the cast, which includes the wonderful #CharlesDurning. I've now seen every feature-length film Mick has ever made.

Game of Death ('78)
⭐️⭐️⭐️
Nearly 50yrs later, the jumpsuit #BruceLee wore is one of the most iconic outfits in cinema. The production of this film tells some tales, most notably, the death of its star. The whole film was built around the last 12mins of footage

The Man Who Knew Too Much ('34)
⭐️⭐️⭐️
It's rare for directors to remake their own films, but a few have, incl #AlfredHitchcock. My 1st time watching the original had me longing for Jimmy and Doris. Saying that, it's another solid early effort from the Master
#WorldRecord/690
Men in Black ('97)
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I was 11 and I remember when this first got released. It was such a huge deal. Everyone was talking about it. The #WillSmith/#TommyLeeJones Sci-Fi is a defining part of #90s cinema. It still holds up on every level. A genuine classic.
#WorldRecord/688-689
3 Men and a Baby / 3 Men and a Little Lady ('87-'90)
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The sequel isn't quite as good as the original, but they're both 4 star movies to me. I adore them and I'd absolutely love it if #TomSelleck, #TedDanson & #SteveGuttenberg returned for a 3rd film.
#WorldRecord/687
Living with the Dead (Talking to Heaven) ('02)
⭐️⭐️⭐️
I don't expect people to have heard of or seen this one. It was a random find that's surprisingly not awful. Fantastic cast in #TedDanson & #MarySteenburgen, dealing with psychic visions & a serial killer.
#WorldRecord/686
Cobb ('94)
⭐️⭐️⭐️
Throughout 1960 & 1961, sports writer Al Stump interviewed #baseball star #TyCobb for his biography. In 1994, #RonShelton made a film of those interviews. #TommyLeeJones seems the perfect casting to capture Cobbs' grumpy, mean, and nasty side.
#WorldRecord/685
Johnson County War ('02)
⭐️⭐️⭐️
The only reason I'm aware of this #Western mini-series is because #BurtReynolds is in it. A 2 part, 4hr Hallmark production on the conflict in #Wyoming that took place from 1889 to 1893. Surprisingly decent & with a solid cast too.
