The Economist’s 2026 Global Liveability Index is out.
Copenhagen takes #1 again (98.7), followed by Vienna and Melbourne. Sydney, Vancouver, Zurich, Geneva, Toronto, Osaka and Auckland round out the top 10.
Two Australian cities, two Canadian, two Swiss. Osaka is the only Asian city to make the cut.
Would you actually move to any of these?
@Reil76 Honestly, I think this is the kind of pragmatic approach the world needs right now. Countries shouldn’t have to choose sides — they should be free to build strong, reliable trade relationships wherever there’s mutual benefit. Canada diversifying its trade makes sense.
A devastating flash flood and landslide struck the Nepal–China border today.
The full scale of the disaster is still unclear, with many people dead or missing and rescue efforts still underway.
My thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected.
I hope those still missing can be found and brought home safely. 🙏🙏🙏
🇵🇭 Philippines SEC is testing Binance-linked crypto services through its regulatory sandbox.
BlockShoals, a local Binance partner, has entered the SEC’s Strategic Sandbox, allowing the regulator to test crypto services in a controlled environment.
But there’s a catch: entering the sandbox does NOT mean Binance has been approved to fully operate in the Philippines.
Still, I think this is an interesting development. After all the regulatory pressure Binance has faced, seeing its local partner enter a regulatory sandbox feels like a positive shift in the regulatory landscape.
