WIF is entering the first verification toward issuance for Verra VCS Project #2088, our large scale mangrove restoration project in Myanmar’s Ayeyarwady Region.
We’re now engaging organisations planning 2026 blue carbon procurement.
The credit revenue will support community-designed priorities including livelihoods, education, and infrastructure, linked to long-term mangrove stewardship.
Project #2088 is part of WIF’s broader Verra-listed mangrove portfolio in Myanmar.
We are pleased to take part in the event at the Norway Pavilion in #Belém on Mangroves and Blue Carbon Projects from Borneo to Latin America.
The dialogue will explore how mangrove restoration can be scaled across regions when science, local communities and climate finance work together. While the context differs between Asia and Latin America, the objective is shared.
Panelists:
• Marcus Cardoso Santiago — Brazilian Development Bank
• Carlos Correa — Mangrove Breakthrough
• Hendra Yusran Siry — Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, Indonesia
• Kim Noguera Gabrielli — Worldview International Foundation

We’re honored that the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (@FAO) recognized Worldview International Foundation for “Mangrove protection through blue carbon in Myanmar” at its Global Technical Recognition Ceremony (15 Oct 2025)
This recognition belongs to our Myanmar team, university partners, and coastal communities whose stewardship drives science-based mangrove restoration and protection, advancing FAO’s Four Betters: better production, better nutrition, a better environment, and a better life.
Congratulations to Cool Effect on celebrating 10 years of impact! 👏
Over the past decade, they have been an important partner to Worldview International Foundation and it was inspiring to mark this milestone together during Climate Week NYC
