Chris Howard, legendary Hay-on-Wye bookseller, has moved to rural Herefordshire. Once a Bricks & Mortar Fella, now Internet Only but will answer the telephone..
2 monster pallets in today for @haycinemabooks ' Hay Festival stock. Not booked-in (grr...) but nice to be in the sunshine for a bit (but it's tougher hand-balling these days...) 1 box caught my eye, briefly went into (my pretty poor) Welsh mode but no! @kernowlingo#Cornish
Everytime I want to order supplies from @@RoyalMailHelp I just go around and around on different pages, re-entering logins etc. Unbelievably frustrating. Just saving a webpage doesn't work btw...
I've been offered use of a space in Dromore, which can seat 60/70 people. If any authors or publishers would like/be willing to hold a launch or do a Q&A event, I'd be so happy to accommodate.
I know I'm not in a big city, but please don't forget about us culchie booksellers!
Found some shreddies (between Alice in Wonderland and Don Quixote) when stock-checking @WordsworthEd@haycinemabooks this evening. Not sure of the significance but I was tempted.. #hungry
@BridgeBooksDro1 Not quite the same but this morning, when I was walking the dog, I saw what I thought was some sort of owl sitting on a car looking at the world. I stared and squinted and stared, then I realised that it was the head of a woman staring at me staring at her... #ShouldveGoneTo etc.
Another fabulous dayโs sales @haycinemabooks . A bit worried that I havenโt ordered enough books to last through @hayfestival ! Stirling effort by @arrowsmithlesl1 and David. Sun is still shining, books are selling, people are smiling and.,. @BlueBoar_Hay
There was a small flock of sheep on the Moccas side of Blakemere earlier on this morning. I put them in a big field just before the small orchard (?) coming in to the village. No idea whose sheep/whose field. Anyone know/can inform? Please RT @WigglyWigglers#B4352#Herefordshire
Last chance today!
I'm hearing from #Hereford residents that many do nont have photo ID for next week's #LocalElections . So spread the word!
Don't lose your voice!
