@Peter_Witkowski@jaredcwilson I teach preschool, and many teachers say “I’m telling Santa” when a kid misbehaves. Besides the ick factor of an empty threat, it’s a good reminder of God’s grace. Satan sees my sin and says “I’m telling God” but God already knows, and declares me righteous because of Christ.

The local high school football team is in the playoffs for the first time in a decade. Townspeople are very excited but my first thought was, “it hasn’t been a decade, they were in the playoffs my junior year. Then I realized that that was a decade ago.

Neighbor kid knocked on my door waking me up from a nap. He wanted to use my hose to fill up water balloons. I don’t have a hose, but we worked together to make my kitchen sink do the job. As he left he yelled back, “thanks for being a nice adult!”
Usually when I go to Home Depot, there are a dozen employees asking if I need help. Today I went in overalls and muddy work boots and received no offers of help. I guess I looked the part. 🤷🏽♀️
