If you are in charge (or know someone who is in charge) of planning services and choosing songs, and your church already uses Planning Center, you need to get Worship Planner. It’s a fantastic resource!
@Worship_Planner
CCLI's top 100 isn't your top 100.
The best song recommendations I've ever gotten haven't come from a Spotify playlist or a CCLI chart. They've come from friends whose theology I trust and whose instincts match mine.
Charts tell you what's popular, and a song near the top is usually well crafted. But you don't lead the global church. You lead a particular group of people who need to be pastored through song, in their culture, reflecting their theological and musical leanings.
That's why Worship Planner lets you follow and search the Planning Center libraries of leaders you trust. Instead of texting a couple worship leader friends, "what songs do you use on suffering?" you can search the libraries of both friends and respected leaders around the country. It's a simpler way to find new songs, or rediscover old ones, for your own congregation.
Type a Bible verse or topic into Worship Planner and it searches everything at once: the Bible, the songs used by people you follow, and your own library. When you find something, it gives you the links to get the song into your library through CCLI, PraiseCharts, or wherever you buy music.

Dig deeper into your Planning Center library. Worship Planner finds lyrics that match the meaning of anything you type in the search bar, including Bible passages.
@SEdburg Your project popped up in our feed since you've titled it the same name. We offer a hymns library, service planning and tracking integrated with Planning Center. Best wishes on your project!
From this week's Worship 1-2-3 Newsletter:
What goes through your mind leading up to a big church service or event? It can be easy to get lost in the details, forgetting the big picture. Here are some of the thoughts that can run through many worship leaders’ minds (including mine) leading up to big events.
- This is a performance, and I need the performance to be good!
- This event reflects greatly on me, our ministry, and our church.
- Souls are in the balance. This needs to land with emotional impact so that people hear and believe.
That list was me-centered and sub-biblical. What if the list was God-centered and reflected his priorities?
- This event is a opportunity to serve people in the name of Christ. Let’s serve them well!
- This event is a proclamation of God taking on flesh. It’s his message. May he help our church faithfully tell his story, using the talents and materials he’s given us.
- All flesh is grass, but the Word of our God endures forever. Music can’t change a heart. Only God the Holy Spirit can. It’s such a privilege to get to proclaim the Word through song, which he can use for eternal purposes.
We labor, but he ultimately does the work. May the Spirit accomplish beautiful things in your congregation and community this December as you faithfully proclaim the Son, using gifts and talents the Father has given!

"I have told the glad news of deliverance in the great congregation." In what ways has your congregation expressed gratitude to the Lord this Thanksgiving season?
