Today is International Men’s Day!

We want to thank the incredible men in our service - our frontline firefighters, officers, support staff, and volunteers - who work together to keep Greater Manchester safe.

Thank you for all you do! 👏

On bonfire night last year, Chris had bricks and rocks thrown at him while attending a fire

Join us this Saturday at our Training and Safety Centre in Bury for the UKRO Regional Challenge! Witness our firefighters tackle complex rescues and demonstrate their skills as they compete for a spot in the national event. Don't miss out, we would love to see you there! 🚒🔥

[Ally Boyle MBE @fireboyle]

@CFODaveRussel @manchesterfire I’m jealous of them all! I’m sure many of them would be brilliant candidates and interested in joining the stem cell register. I know Manchester were looking at this before. Is there any space to include this in the 18 weeks?

Happy St George's Day 🐉
We're pretty sure our firefighters won't be facing a fire breathing dragon today but we're sure they'll be busy across the city region keeping Greater Manchester safe!

Retired members are very much part of our “GMFRS Family” 🚒 In celebrating our 50th anniversary, today we had the pleasure of hosting 180 colleagues for lunch…stories, laughter, friendship - a special day @manchesterfire Thank you to everyone for taking the time to attend.
