Do I have a high EQ?
That's the most common question I get as an emotional intelligence expert.
If you want to know for certain, you should take a scientifically-validated EQ test (like the one that comes with my new book).
But if you don't have the interest or the time there are always signs to look for.
Emotional intelligence isn’t about suppressing emotions — it’s about managing them in ways that strengthen relationships, reduce conflict, and foster empathy.
If you'd like to harness the traits from this list, try these five tips:
✅ Practice the 10-Second Pause:
↳ When you feel triggered or frustrated, count to 10 before responding.
↳ This quick reset helps you respond thoughtfully rather than react emotionally.
✅ Ask Clarifying Questions More Often:
↳ Instead of assuming, ask things like: “What do you need right now?” or “Can you help me understand your point better?”
↳ This builds connection and diffuses tension.
✅ Keep a Mistake Journal:
↳ When you slip up, jot down what happened, what you felt, and how you’ll improve next time.
↳ This builds accountability without shame.
✅ Celebrate Someone Else Daily:
↳ Get in the habit of publicly or privately recognizing someone’s effort or kindness.
↳ It reinforces humility and strengthens team morale.
✅ Use the “Support or Solution?” Question:
↳ When someone vents to you, ask: “Would you like me to just listen, or help you problem-solve?”
↳ This shows emotional maturity and deep respect.

Is The Hague ready for Russia's counteractions?
As our President has made it clear, Moscow is free to mirror hostile actions against our vessels in a suitable for us manner.
Foreign countries should never take 🇷🇺 patience for weakness.
Today we remember
the victims of October the 7th
Not because one life matters more than another.
But because Every human live matters.
Empathy should never depend on nationality, religion, identity or which side of a conflict someone was born on.
Emotional intelligence asks something difficult of us: to remain capable of seeing the human being, especially when anger, fear and division make that harder.
To mourn suffering without becoming indifferent to the suffering of others.
To condemn violence without losing our humanity.
No life is worth more than another.
May we never lose the ability to feel the pain of people we do not know, do not understand, or may even disagree with.
God, have mercy on us when we forget our shared humanity.
