Yeah but this isn’t the whole picture:

Brakes, you’ll do them 1/3 as much lowering cost per mile

Tires, you’ll do them twice as often increasing your cost per mile

If you charge at home you’ll pay for a home charger. If you move, you’ll pay again. $400+

Maintenance wise, expensive for most services not under warranty

Still a great car, still probably 20% cheaper than a gas per mile. But only factoring in fuel is misleading. Your true cost is the cost per mile. (Gas, maintenance, tires, brakes,etc)

For 70 years, we were told plastic was safe because it doesn't react with anything.

Nature just published proof that it does. And the trigger is water.

Researchers at Columbia University and UC Berkeley took six of the most common plastics on Earth.

Polyethylene. Polypropylene. Polystyrene. PVC. PET. Acrylic.

The stuff in your water bottles, food containers, pipes and packaging.

They ground them into microplastics and dropped them into plain water.

Nothing else. No sunlight. No chemicals. Just plastic and water.

And the water started changing.

At the surface of every single plastic, it began producing hydroxyl radicals. One of the most reactive and destructive molecules in chemistry.

All six plastics did it. Every one.

To prove it, they added a yellow dye to water with polystyrene. Over 10 days, nearly 90% of the dye was destroyed. The water turned almost clear.

In other liquids, the dye survived. Only water made the plastic active.

In plain English:

The plastic isn't leaking a toxic chemical.

It is turning the water around it into something that attacks.

Then they tested what that does to living things.

DNA and proteins got pulled onto the plastic surface like magnets.

Proteins started clumping together.

And red blood cells that touched the particles were torn into broken fragments.

But here is the twist.

The most dangerous plastics were the ones we trusted most.

Polyethylene and polypropylene, the "safe" plastics in bottles and food containers, were the most reactive of all.

The effect was weaker in blood serum. But it was still there.

And microplastics have already been found in human blood, brains, placentas and arteries.

The lead researcher said it plainly: "Water is a key active player here, rather than just a spectator."

We spent decades asking what chemicals leak out of plastic.

Nobody thought to ask what plastic does to the water inside us.

Anybody else think about this…

I spend an unhealthy amount of time thinking about whether it makes more sense to risk taking new treatments like peptides for a short term edge - understanding that if AI’s promises are kept any potential side effects will likely be reversible within 5-10 years anyway. Maybe I’ll need that edge when the AI Singularity hits.

Why take anything now that adds risk? If AI’s promises are kept drugs and treatments and novel safe compounds like peptides will be far more abundant, available, safe and effective. Why risk it for such small gains short term?

In a world hyper saturated by “call for a free quote” guys…provided it’s a high quality brand most would be better off charging for a quote.

Weeds out the time wasters, the rock kickers, and those competing in race to the bottom pricing economics. It sends a message “we’re a high quality brand in high demand, our time is valuable and we’re here to serve those who are serious about their interest in our products or services

I'm reminded of the relationship between when napster came out and paid streaming services

The barrier to entry for free napster music was SO LOW that streaming services never really had a chance.

People intuitively know that paying a doctor $200 to write an antibiotic script and waiting for an appointment is nothing more than theft - in particular if there is already a clear diagnosis.

I'll use Cialis as an example.

You used to have to go a doctor, do the whole bit.
Now you can fill out a questionaire and get it mailed the next day online.

As it should be. There should be NO barriers to entry for required medical care and drugs beyond those for safety.

Doctors have two choices:

-Stop gatekeeping treatments and understating their risks while keeping them unaffordable

OR

-Expect patients to seek out viable affordable effective alternatives - if you're lucky they'll be honest with you about it - depends on whether they believe you will gaslight them with corporate medical propaganda bullshit anyone with a brain in their head knows is being used to sell them more of your products.

Men are hunters do you have any idea how smart and clever your "Average man" is?

Men, especially those with money (and the more significant the $ the more we will filter you) will filter

-Gold Diggers
-Mental illness / mental instability
-Dishonest / Disloyal
-Selfishness / Self Absorbed / Narcissistic
-Any flavor of inauthenticity

Men also do not care if they meet "your standards" at any point, but especially first dates. Rich single high value men have their pick of the litter. The way you could ghost men when you were 20 because you had 10 other options, that's exactly what a 35-45 year old man with his life together is. He doesn't need you - for his sexual needs or any other needs.

Also bear in mind that men who are rich didn't get that way by being dumb. They have arranged their life in such a way that they only bring people into it who add value not take from it - thus why they are rich.

Men will say NOTHING to you about the things they figure out either. He wasn't an asshole. He saw the truth and decided it wasn't worth arguing with you about it, perhaps because you checked many of the above boxes.
