That McGregor fight was the equivalent of waiting all year to watch your college football team play. the QB snaps the ball and immediately goes down after not doing a single thing 😭
Here are 3 truths.
1. TCU values quality over quantity in admissions 🐸💜
2. TCU alumni have a greater net worth and more class compared to Texas Tech 💵🤑
3. 99% of Texas Tech students would chose TCU & Fort Worth over Texas Tech and Lubbock 🤷♂️
How many teams in the ESPN FPI Top 25 does each SEC team face?
-Texas 8
-Oklahoma 8
-Arkansas 8
-Kentucky 8
-LSU 8
-Mississippi State 8
-Florida 7
-Georgia 7
-Ole Miss 7
-Texas A&M 7
-South Carolina 7
-Tennessee 6
-Auburn 6
-Alabama 6
-Mizzou 6
-Vanderbilt 6
-Texas Tech 0
Georgia has the “easiest” strength of schedule in the SEC.
Compared to the other power conferences, they would rank:
-ACC: 1st
-Big 12: 1st
-Big Ten: 4th
The gap between the SEC and everyone else has NEVER BEEN WIDER.
And this right here everybody is SEC delusion “none of these teams would last in the SEC” hey remind me again who beat LSU In a bowl game last year I’ll wait….
Notable strength of schedule outliers:
-Oregon 26th
-Indiana 33rd
-Clemson 35th
-Miami 45th
-Notre Dame 56th
-Penn State 62nd
-Texas Tech 71st
All would rank LAST in the SEC.
And SEC fans will say “OH WE HAVE A TOUGH SCHEDULE” well yea no shit when all 16 of your teams are ranked (half of them shouldn’t be) then yea it’s not surprising… THE SEC IS NOT A GOOD CONFERENCE ITS JUST POPULAR
This is how the sausage is made
While I don’t exactly know if it’s chicken/egg between:
-all 16 SEC schools have a top 20 SOS
or
-12 of 16 SEC being ranked in FPI top 23
… it definitely sets up a self-fulfilling reinforcement system where the SEC always stays on top.
Guess ESPN isn’t concerned with the optics of their proprietary metrics system clearly favoring the conference they partly own…
It’s almost like SEC teams drop out of the top 25 cause they aren’t good and get replaced by good teams outside the SEC like Utah, BYU and ASU from the big 12
Just for memory's sake, here's last year's preseason FPI.
Oh Look! That Florida Team that finished the year 4-8 was 18th las year too!
And I guess I should give the FPI algorithm some slack... last year they had THIRTEEN SEC teams in the top 23, and this year it's ONLY 12.
PROGRESS!
Ohio State has the “toughest” strength of schedule in the Big Ten.
It would rank 8th in the SEC.
Michigan has the 2nd “toughest” and their schedule would rank 14th in the SEC.
Big Ten cupcake schedules MUST come to an end!
You call this competing? The SEC and Big 10 have zero interest in visiting Lubbock. Texas Tech jas shown over and over again that it has no class or decorum.
If anything, the Big 10 would sacrifice their left nut to get into the Fort Worth market. A top 10 city in America.
NEW: The Big 12 and Monster Energy have entered a multi-year sponsorship agreement, Brett Yormark announced.
Schools will have jersey patches and field logos featuring the brand.
