Compared to the other power conferences, they would rank:
-ACC: 1st
-Big 12: 1st
-Big Ten: 4th

The gap between the SEC and everyone else has NEVER BEEN WIDER.

While I don’t exactly know if it’s chicken/egg between:

-all 16 SEC schools have a top 20 SOS
or
-12 of 16 SEC being ranked in FPI top 23

… it definitely sets up a self-fulfilling reinforcement system where the SEC always stays on top.

Guess ESPN isn’t concerned with the optics of their proprietary metrics system clearly favoring the conference they partly own…

It’s almost like SEC teams drop out of the top 25 cause they aren’t good and get replaced by good teams outside the SEC like Utah, BYU and ASU from the big 12

Oh Look! That Florida Team that finished the year 4-8 was 18th las year too!

And I guess I should give the FPI algorithm some slack... last year they had THIRTEEN SEC teams in the top 23, and this year it's ONLY 12.

It would rank 8th in the SEC.

Michigan has the 2nd “toughest” and their schedule would rank 14th in the SEC.

You call this competing? The SEC and Big 10 have zero interest in visiting Lubbock. Texas Tech jas shown over and over again that it has no class or decorum.

If anything, the Big 10 would sacrifice their left nut to get into the Fort Worth market. A top 10 city in America.
