Book 1 Oliver: Unlikeable and selfish little asshole with a tragic backstory
Book 4 Oliver: self-sacrifing and semi suicidal chosen one victim of the machinations of what essentially amounts to an overprotective god child with dependency issues. Also slightly less of an asshole.

Thinking about the logistics of Clown Vision, and that shit has to be nightmarish. Imagine seeing everything as its core subatomic structures. No wonder they rely almost entirely on their sense of smell and taste 🤣
