76-year-old Timothy Miller was in Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court today wearing a full burqa after being charged with breaching the face-covering ban at an anti-migrant protest on 12 September!

He pleaded NOT GUILTY, says he’s studying Islam and claims a religious exemption, argued “we should have one law,” and confirmed he’s crowdfunding for legal representation ahead of his trial on 16 February.

Someone needs to start a fundraiser RIGHT NOW to help him get proper legal help!

Matthew McDonagh says he encountered two individuals praying in a changing room at Hovis Belfast, obstructing access to his locker.

He recorded it.

He was subsequently dismissed.

And then, according to Matthew, Hovis offered him a settlement agreement with conditions preventing him from publicly discussing what happened.

In other words, he says they tried to buy his silence.

Meanwhile, we’re constantly told we must be “accepting” of religious practices, even when ordinary people question how those practices affect shared spaces.

Freedom of religion does not mean freedom to obstruct someone else.

Matthew worked there for 20 years with no disciplinary history.

Now he’s refusing to stay quiet and needs legal help to challenge what happened.
