@BigDookiana AEW used Danhausen fine, and he was fine in AEW as a funny midcarder. My problem is how WWE turned him into a goofy cartoon character for kids which my point is would not go over well in AEW since it’s too much like WWE.

Here's the thing though. If you turn AEW into WWE lite, wrestling fans will stop watching and WWE fans will not care about WWE lite. It's like when TNA brought in Hogan and destroyed the brand.

@Clint4000 There’s a difference between a comedy character and someone who goes and literally curses sports teams (and acts like it’s real) and builds devices to shock the Miz. Even with the comedy, most comedic wrestlers were just funny but still believable within confines of wrestling.

@uscfan981 The NWO. Austin 3:16 was important but the NWO forced Vince to shift WWF into a product that Austin could thrive. Without the NWO, we may have never got the Attitude Era.
