Minnesota anglers will be able to fish without a license from Tuesday, June 2 to Monday, June 8 during a pause in the DNR’s licensing system. Fishing regulations and bag limits are in effect. The pause is due to the DNR’s switch to an e-licensing system that will go live June 9.

The Minnesota DMV is rolling out a new phone number this weekend. There will be one main number with a phone tree. This will ensure you are directed toward the correct area – letting you talk to a person who is knowledgeable in your need. Old phone numbers will go away June 30.

CP Railroad will close CSAH 6 at the railroad crossing south of Hwy. 55 in Corinna Township. The work will begin on Sunday, May 17 with the closure of CSAH 6 and will remain closed through Wednesday, May 20. No detour will be posted and the closure is weather dependent

The Minnesota DNR has issued a Red Flag Warning for half the state for today. Wright County is not in the Red Flag zone, it is designated as "Very High" in terms of fire danger risk due to a combination of high winds, low humidity and dry vegetation that can help a fire spread.
