Running to be Utah's next Governor. Husband, Father, Businessman, Public Servant, Utahn, Republican. #WrightBishop2020 *Tweets by staff unless signed TW
Thank you, Utah! It was an honor and a privilege to run for Governor. Thanks to @GHughesUtah @JonHuntsman@SpencerJCox for running great campaigns. I’m happy to call them friends. Whoever wins, Utah will be in capable hands. I lived my dream and I’m better for it. #utgop#utpol
Here is the way @WrightUtah answered the five questions about hunger and homelessness the Coalition of Religious Communities sent to all the gubernatorial candidates.

"I want to thank the people of Utah for allowing one of theirs to run and for embracing me, inviting me into their homes and businesses to share their ideas and their challenges and their struggles and for just allowing me to be a part of the process. I owe them so much for that.
Wright thought the economy would stay strong when he told employees he was running for office in January. He remained committed to them and helped the business a lot as the economy suffered.
Now he's focused on doing everything he can to ensure the GOP primary winner wins in Nov
"[Running for public office] is a grind. It's grueling, but it's so worth it. I'd encourage anyone who's thinking about it to throw their hat in the ring and give it a shot."
Wright mentioned that he was going to call the other three candidates to congratulate them on the race.
Cont.: "I added a lot to this race. I challenged the status quo. I brought up new ideas for public education, for air quality and for the affordable housing crisis. I think my ideas will shape future policy. I think what I've learned is that being involved is important."
On lessons learned: ""I learned that speaking up for what you believe in is important, and that participating in the election process in whatever way you can, whether you're voting or running, participation is so important." (cont.)
"One of the best parts of running for public office that I didn't know was how strong of a bond it creates with your family. Youre so raw. Youre so exposed. To have the people that you love the most with you cheering you makes you love family and understand why it's so important"
Also had the chance to speak with @WrightUtah over the phone. "The people in this state just honestly blew me away in the campaign. I'll be back as a regular citizen and anything I can do to help anyone, I'll be all in."
Stopped for gas and a radio interview with KVNU. We’re down to the wire but we’ll be working hard to earn your vote until ballots must be submitted! #WrightBishop2020#utpol
I wanted to share this clip that won't make it on air tonight.
I asked all of the Republican candidates for governor what would they change during the pandemic if they were governor.
This personal answer surprised me and left me very touched. @th_wright#COVID19
I spoke with each of the Republican candidates for governor this week + asked them all two specific questions:
1) What is your vision for Utah?
2) If you had been governor during the pandemic, what would you have done differently?
You'll hear their answers, Sunday 5/9 @fox13
