@BrendaOf6 It's important to note: shutdowns aren't the only reason USCG reservists don't get paid. They are limited to only the IDT they need to meet their yearly obligation. If they go over, or are asked to put in extra drills for whatever reason, they drill for ret. points without pay.

@BrendaOf6 Well, no, not true. The USCG has been experiencing budget shortfalls for years. Saul has worked without pay at least 1 month a year for the past 4 years. Always the last month of the fiscal year. Additionally, while this was the longest shutdown, it was the 3rd since 2013.
