Today, I got asked again if I'm an EA as I walked into a classroom... There's nothing wrong with being an EA, but there's everything wrong with the assumption. A lot of people never ask me first if I'm a teacher. Being a black teacher isn't a novelty. The assumption bothers me!

Yesterday, I got to speak to around 20 female, black elementary students about being black and beautiful, and I think it was an enriching experience for me. It was also eye-opening. I love connecting with younger ones and look forward to doing more. @Mrs_McKay13 thank you!
