@mrs_g_rider My college boyfriend had just retired from the Navy and was giving me a little gun safety lesson. Gun was unloaded. He taught me how to check and "unload" while it was unloaded. I accidentally did something wrong and it "fired." He YELLED AND YELLED - correct response.

@mrs_g_rider Yes, I was a 100% rule follower in school and remain that. Ha! I know I'm definitely in the minority, though, and tons of people cheer for trad published fanfic.

@mrs_g_rider I'm one of these people. I write fanfic and I've written (almost) 2 original books. It's so much harder to make everything from your own brain. Taking pre-made characters and dropping them into your own situation feels like cheating/ plagiarizing someone's hard work to me.
