Writer and speaker— combating (social) media caricatures of Islam. Ahmadi-Muslim, believe in the latter-days Messiah Mirza Ghulam Ahmad(as) #SecondComing
Some Muslims are upset about the false depiction of #Messiah by Netflix. They should be more upset by the false interpretation of Islam that calls for a blood thirsty Messiah to come. The true Messiah has come with the message of peace, not war. #Ahmadiyya

As a chess player, I always wondered where the term 'checkmate' originates, apparently in Arabic- 'check' refers to 'Shah' (King), and mate to 'maut' (death) , meaning the 'king is dead' @MagnusCarlsen@chesscom@chess24com@GothamChess

It is unacceptable that in #Pakistan, members of the #Ahmadi minority are being arrested for merely offering #EidAlAdha sacrifices.
No state has the right to define who is true Muslim, and punish people accordingly. Instead, their duty is to protect religious freedom for all.
@ReasonOnFaith@alislamtribune C'mon Sohail, you don't recall that I invited you to a discussion so we can enrich content but you called it a 'distraction'. Dinner invitation extended.
@ReasonOnFaith@alislamtribune What is rewritten from early writings vs today?
Objective morality can mean different things to a believer (fixed laws/ideologies) vs atheist (evolving). Can’t follow 2nd part of your statement- OM originates in Orthodox Islam?? Think not, would originate with humanity itself
@ReasonOnFaith@alislamtribune you refuse to meet/discuss on these topics, you oddly call it a distraction, I don’t want to read lengthy essays, articulate your argument face2face, offer still stands
Ahmadiyya truth defined by legacy as much as theology—which should be read cohesively to agree with its legacy
@ReasonOnFaith@alislamtribune I would expect ex Ahmadi Muslims, who know as much, to make reasoned and intuitive statements then. Making theological evaluations counterintuitive to legacy and history is disingenuous
@ReasonOnFaith@alislamtribune Yes, with evidence & judicial process et la, which btw originates in religion. When did Muhammad/Ahmad set example of killing due to a revelation? Or inculcate such ideas? Some events are inspired by revelation, but that's idiosyncratic, not a social judicial system/process
@alislamtribune@ReasonOnFaith People who abuse power are driven by power, not scripture, extremists abuse meaning and interpretation, no fault on scripture stipulating an agreeable principle here
'Vague' works- anything that rightly warrants it, like treason or plotting terrorism etc.
@ReasonOnFaith@MoTheAtheist (2/2) we don’t proselytize with the red drops, instead with Jesus ‘raising’ as in stature/legacy being rational ‘sign’, red drops can be seen as xfer from ghaib (unseen mentioned in Quran) to physical world for the two individuals who saw it, as Ahmadis we believe it happened
@ReasonOnFaith@MoTheAtheist (1/2) I don't reject red drops, we believe God is the creator of the physical world and its laws of science & dispenses religion within that framework, reason I bring in ‘Sign’ is that’s how God presents to world as rational and agreeing with laws of science
@ReasonOnFaith@MoTheAtheist (2/2) Muslims we believe in ‘ghaib’ or the unseen per Quran and we can see Allah manifests His Decree i.e. raising Jesus. The ‘ghaib’ is unseen, not in the physical world we know, so no conflict with Science, but it must interact with the physical world to manifest God’s decree
@ReasonOnFaith@MoTheAtheist (1/2) Red drops or Angels visiting Abraham is not how Islam establishes a Sign. Allah says will ‘Raise’ Jesus as a Sign. Jesus bodily raised to Heaven most of us did not get to see. But Jesus ‘raised’ in stature and legend we can all see and no conflict with Science
@MoTheAtheist Not true, #Islam#Ahmadiyya is revival movement of 10s of millions in its 2nd century, spawns the globe
Theology based on #Quran and early Islam:
1)No punishment for Apostasy/blasphemy
2)Religious pluralism/freedom of conscience
3)Educational and scientific development
