@MayorJD@caitlinmoran Clearly the government are strangling councils so they must reduce public services and have poorer children swim in fast rivers, deep lakes and, eventually, when they’re over polluted, off the coast of Jersey.
@LivvieHarts We imagine there may be a spat, but recently a couple were sat on our seats and they apologised profusely and the guy helped my daughter haul her suitcase down the aisle and onto the luggage rack. I shook his hand, they sat beside us and we chatted all the way to London.
@tinycharlotte72@RaeSwabey Wrong for your current WIP, maybe. At least you took your brain somewhere. It’s like when you look at your really bad holiday snaps then later realise you had a good time just being in that place.
Returned to Twitter after a hiatus of over two years busy doing life and landed following @Chomsky1 's Publication Day. So happy and sure it will be an amazing read.
@emrandallwrites Walking with my future wife and our now-deceased dog over the moorland at Penistone Hill, Howarth, UK. Brontë country. Nothing but sky and rolling landscape and a breeze that nudged hither and thither.
@fringerealms @KavalAuthorActs I did have that comparison quandary, too, but I guess I had to answer the original question from my own point of view and from an emotional response. I was more emotionally drawn into the movie world than the written world. I love Clarke. A Fall of Moondust is a firm go to for me
@KavalAuthorActs 2001: A Space Odyssey. Although Clarke’s book is a pivotal work in terms of the exploration of outer space and inner human space, visualising it is difficult. Then comes along Kubrick and all such filmmaking is changed forever. As is the book.
@Peston@Keir_Starmer@BorisJohnson PS, I voted for the Labour Party that is a real opposition to the Consleazeatives, not a sideshow to the main event. Kier, you should have given him hell, it’s no less than what he’s putting the country through.
@Peston@Keir_Starmer@BorisJohnson LEAKED: Kier’s Next PMQ strategy.
1. Drive into chamber in exploding car.
2. Honk horn.
3. Throw massive shoe at Priti.
4. Soak Rees-Mogg with flower.
5. Honk nose with never-ending hankie.
6. Place fart cushion under Dorries.
7. Banana (TBC).
8. Pull questions from underpants.
@MikeEllison7 And suddenly Beta Reader overtakes chocolate taster as the best job in the world. Very best to you and all your wonderful characters, Mike.
