All the energy in the universe is evenly present in all places at the same time. We don't get energy, we release energy. And the triggering mechanism to release energy is DESIRE. When you have a strong desire to do something, you will always have the energy to do it.

15/ Which brings us back to creating products, "attention" vs "paywalls, and how to reach profitability off your passion/craft, fastest, without compromising your ability to grow in the future.
14/ You can do this by creating a company and hiring other people (scaling "your expertise"). But unless the company grows to a point without needing you, you're stuck. It's impossible for you to experience an EXPONENTIAL outcome.
13/ The only way to create exponential income for yourself is to find a way to "scale yourself," which inevitably comes back to creating some sort of product. As my good friend @Wayne puts it, "You have to create something non-human."
12/ The downside to this path, however, is its ceiling is rock hard. Once you reach your ceiling, it becomes very difficult to monetize your craft much further. After all, your craft is dependent upon YOU doing the work. YOU are the product—and YOU aren't scalable.
11/ This third path is almost always the FASTEST road to highest profitability. Likelihood of success providing a service is so much higher than selling a product. As a writer, you'll earn way more $$$ writing content for other people than your own stuff in the beginning.
10/ The 3rd and final way is to monetize your craft with a service. Instead of monetizing the craft itself ("I write books—buy my books") you monetize your ability to create in the first place ("I write books—pay me to write your book for you.")
9/ The obvious conclusion here is that some blend of both is optimal. You build "attention," and use free content to capture data about your target readers, and then move that attention over to your "paywall" content: books, courses, Zoom events, products, etc.
8/ Unfortunately, most people don't strive to play the "paywall" game. The attention game comes with more social clout and "fame," and so it feels more appealing. On average tho, "paywall" creators usually end up making more money, faster. Their loyal community wins.
7/ The beauty of "paywall" models, however, is that you can monetize day 1. With attention, you need to build, build, build, and THEN monetize. With paywalls, you could have an audience of 500 followers and start monetizing tomorrow. This is AMAZING for niche communities.
