No Fair Maidens From Earth to Mars arrived today. The wonderful Robert P. Ottone was so kind to blurb and I'm forever grateful.
Purchase here if you like your horror with sci-fi. https://t.co/WnzWscwhbD
I’ve been sending stories to @FantasyMagazine for years and today is the day I finally have a story out with them!
Wicked proud of this little post apocalyptic haunted highway tale :)

New story out in Chthonic Matter Quarterly!
This one’s about a cursed art exhibit of statues made from the reclaimed wood of haunted houses and the poor docent that has to deal with them :)
Fun stuff!

In my continuing series of ‘You’re short story is likely good, it just hasn’t found the right editor yet’, happy to say my Soylent Green sci-fi horror story (rejected many times) was in the 1.3% of 1800 stories that found a home at Diabolical Plots.
Three master-of-craft scenes I still think about: 1. American Psycho, Patrick Bateman suddenly switches to third person in his killing craze.
2, Red Station and the boot to the head. Iykyk.
3. Annihilation and when the biologist abruptly addresses the reader.
Any I should add?
It’s silly, but the shocked looks from Japanese people in the Japanese market when I say something small in passing (sumimasen, daijobu) reminds me that I was once young and cool and lived around the world and was generally a badass.
@Gabino_Iglesias thought you’d like this. In a tiny bookstore in a mid-size city (still small) in Australia, there was one measly section for horror and you were in it.
Friends! I’m starting a newsletter next month called Corey’s Stories!
I’m going to write about stories I love, share some flash fiction, and ask other authors what their favorite stories are.
Short stories! Short stories! Short stories!
