I worked there for 8 years. Jacinda & Gloriz by far copped it the worst but no woman was spared. My boss certainly wasn’t and even staff like me were on the receiving end. It’s at the point someone will die because of this behaviour.
@fimason38 My husband is a racist bigot. He told me no need to do anything for Matariki because we are not Maori. Ridiculed me for wanting to talk about my son (not his) who is deceased. He is a teacher at a secondary school. He is not fit for purpose.
@ChrisPenknz Exactly what has Simeon done to 'sort' these issues out? Flying around the country giving opinions and posing for photo ops isn't actually fixing anything.....as many NZers have realised over the past 6 months.
@OneWorld2Share @Patrida13 Teachers SHOULDN'T but some do. Some teachers groom children, are grossly inappropriate, friend students on SM and look at porn
.
'“I’m surprised to hear this, if you have a concern about another leader’s comments you should raise them directly rather than through media, which is what I now intend to do," Seymour said.'
Trouble brewing 'tween the PM & fut DPM? (Who IS raising his concerns thru media, btw.)
Re: Bondi: Mentally ill people are NOT disproportionately violent; men with grievances and a false sense of entitlement are. Conversely, women disproportionately suffer from mental illness and almost never commit such acts. Misogyny and toxic masculinity are the through line.
Yes #AllMen
Yes #AllMen have a role to play in ending male violence against women
Yes #AllMen can start by calling out sexism & misogyny
Yes #AllMen can start by seeing woman’s right to safety as a human right seperate from their personal relationship to you as a man
Women are still having to regulate what they wear, where they go, who they tell, how late they stay out to how much they drink or at least be conscious of it because male entitlement remains the greatest threat to women’s safety. We need to be better men. We must raise better men
