I haven’t been on social media much at all over the last few months because Life, but if any of you play Final Fantasy XIV and call the Light data centre your home, I’d love to add you as a friend ☺️ IGN: Kataera Khala
Have a great New Year, guys!
Happy (very late) anniversary, #storycrafter! Sorry I missed it—between work, Christmas and buying a house, life has been pretty hectic—but here’s to another five incredible years!
Oh also, since I spaced it last month like a dork, HAPPY (late) ANNIVERSARY TO #StoryCrafter chat! Been around five years now! I took over from the sainted scribbler @Writerology who founded it like a badass in 2015!
Thanks for five awesome years, folks, and here’s to five more!
This week’s #StoryCrafter chat (Sunday’s at 8 p.m. GMT/1 p.m. pacific time) is going to be about #NaNoWriMo so I just wanted to ask, who’s participating this year?
Feel free to comment but poll to make it easy!
Hey #storycrafter-s! I’ve had an awful headache all day so I’ll have to duck out of tonight’s chat, but be sure to join @CordialWords for a fantastic hour of writerly chitchat!
Hey writers! It’s the first Sunday of the month and you know what that means… it’s a roleplay #storycrafter chat!
It's my grandma’s birthday this week so unfortunately I won’t be able to make it, but I hope you (and your characters) all have a fabulous time with @CordialWords!
@CordialWords Thank you for the fantastic chat! Dialogue is probably my favourite part of writing and it’s been great to chat about it :D #storycrafter
A6. I do enjoy this one from my WIP, Her Clockwork Heart:
“You’re not one of your machines, Pippa. It’s not weak to show emotion. It’s human.” #storycrafter
A4. I also like getting a feel for how my characters speak by writing in-character as them, answering questions from their POV, immersing myself in how they speak (yup, basically a roleplay chat 😉!) #storycrafter
And, to celebrate our incredible 2nd birthday, I put together this: a 170-page workbook, full of every #storycrafter roleplay question ever asked. Enjoy, lovelies 💕 >> https://t.co/mJARgKlzmr
@CordialWords I like this way of signifying texting! It’s very clean and clear and doesn’t run the risk of being mistaken for thoughts, like italics could. #storycrafter
@Writerology already said it, but yes roleplays are great for getting into a character and they’re basically all writing dialogue in a way.
Also she really is masterful at bringing out characters! If you haven’t, check out her fantastic collection!
