Being a good editor is a strong skill.
But relying on it only for freelance or office work is limiting. It’s better to have something of your own. For me, that’s YouTube ▶️
Different directions, same base skill. There are many ways to turn editing into something that generates income outside of client work. At the same time, it becomes something closer to a hobby, because you’re building it for yourself.
Example:
❌ “My top 10 tips for business growth.”
✅ “After wasting $10K on failed campaigns, here’s what actually worked.”
They’ll watch because they see your value from the start.
The reason your videos don’t hit?
It’s not just content, it's "CREDIBILITY"
Your audience is asking: Why should I care what YOU think?
Solve that by using “Cost Narration”:
🎯 Share the time, money, or mistakes that made your insight valuable.
❌ “Here’s my top advice for growing on social media.”
✅ “After 1,000+ hours editing viral videos, here’s what actually works.”
When you frame your experience upfront, people stop scrolling and start listening.

Not getting views on your videos?
Here’s the harsh truth: It’s not always because your content sucks — but because no one trusts your opinion yet.
Want to fix that?
Start your video by proving why your insights matter.
By prioritizing value-driven storytelling over just flashy edits, I gained 1,000 followers in 6 days and had reels surpassing 600k views. Chase impact, not trends, and watch engagement skyrocket...
Most creators focus too much on the mechanics of content—perfect edits, pacing, or using trending audio. But the truth is: that people engage with meaning, not just spectacle.
My reels broke out of the void when I asked these questions before posting:
1- Does this content resonate with my audience’s emotions or experiences?
2- Will it spark curiosity or a sense of discovery?
3- Is there a clear, compelling narrative from start to finish?
I started by asking: "What emotional experience can my audience walk away with?" For my anime niche, it wasn't about edits it was about character struggles and emotional arcs that connect on a human level. When your content makes someone connect, they engage, share, and come back
The key to solving "low engagement" often lies in what many creators overlook: STORYTELLING. Instead of producing generic content that fades into the background, I shifted from following trends to creating stories.
3. Masking Transitions: By using advanced masking, you can create smooth, invisible transitions between scenes. For example, mask out a moving object like a person or vehicle to hide the cut, making the transition feel natural. This is especially effective in travel videos.
