Painkiller-style tech products have an interesting issue to deal with during testing/onboarding:
If the user isn't currently experiencing pain, the product may not seem useful.
Every once in a while, the vision and conviction that things are going to work out *really* well just click. Feeling pretty great about where things are headed with @WritingAI right now.
We have some news to share!
Brian Dennis (aka @crossjam) has joined the https://t.co/F7WPEihQMZ team as a technical advisor. He's smart, experienced, and thoughtful, and we're *very* lucky to have him.
🎉 Welcome, Brian! 🎉

I've been quiet lately, but I'm still here plugging away on @writingai.
We ran some user tests a few weeks ago and found some things to improve. We're iterating, then running more tests.
Startups are hard, and building new tech is even harder, but we're in it for the long haul.
Day 4: I reprised a topic I'm fond of (tracking time) using the @WritingAI site and came up with some interesting variation on the topic. #100DaysOfWriting
Useful #design insight I've learned from working on @WritingAI:
It's *much* easier for someone without much graphic design ability to make a site look professional with a white theme than one with a more colorful theme.
We're starting a new @writingai tradition tonight of company-wide weekly demos. It'll just be me and my wife for now, but hope to keep this practice in place for the long haul. #buildingaculture#progress
AIM was a major inspiration for @WritingAI
The original idea was to make writing papers as easy as chatting to a friend on @aim#AIMemories https://t.co/pIR8o0N2Ox
