Donald Trump hasn't even gotten to Election Day, and his administration is already trying to stop a state from certifying a result.

Here's what we know. The Justice Department has sued Alaska, asking state officials to block certification of its Senate race if Republican Dan Sullivan loses under certain circumstances involving another candidate with a similar name. The state courts have already allowed that other candidate to remain on the ballot.

I don't want to jump to conclusions about where this ends. But this could be the beginning of the administration's effort to meddle in the midterms and we need to pay attention.
