Engineering isn’t just building things, it’s a way of thinking.
Problem-solving, improving, testing ideas, and making life more efficient.
Thanks for following the 7-day blitz. More projects, tips, and engineering content coming soon 🔧

Project Spotlight: My custom Chevy Trailblazer build.
Bilstein suspension, new brakes, new tires, lighting upgrades, wiring fixes, off-road tweaks, and plenty of engineering problem-solving under the hood.
Always a work in progress and always improving.

Engineering isn’t just for big projects; it’s everywhere.
Small ways to apply engineering thinking daily:
Little improvements = big results.

Trebuchet Test Launch!
Putting it to the test, tuning the arm, adjusting the sling, and dialing in the weight.
Engineering in motion🔧⚙️This made it 37 yards in 2.42 seconds with 32lbs of weight!
What should I launch next?

Behind the scenes of the trebuchet build 👇
Cutting, measuring, redesigning, and adjusting counterweights, engineering is all about iteration. Excited to show how this thing launches tomorrow 👀

Quick tip from real experience...
If your PCM connector breaks and you’re stuck with bad contact, some zipties can hold the harness tight enough to get you home. Not a permanent fix, but sometimes engineering is about solving problems with what you’ve got-

Big week ahead!
Workshop Engineering is launching a 7-day blitz packed with engineering tips, behind-the-scenes builds, project spotlights, and a full trebuchet launch test 👀
Stay tuned every day before 3pm - you won’t want to miss this!
One of the coolest things in engineering is that simple designs can outperform complicated ones. A design with fewer parts usually has fewer failure points, is easier to build, weighs less, and is way simpler to troubleshoot. This is why many real-world machines are simple.
Curious what motivates everyone in this community. What’s your biggest source of inspiration?
Let’s see what drives the people here!

If your first prototype looks rough or ugly, that’s actually a good thing. Prototypes should focus on testing, not making things pretty. Clean designs too early usually mean extra time spent polishing instead of learning.

For this design post, here’s one of my favorite engineering builds, a fully functional DIY boat built with a $75 Home Depot budget and one-week deadline.
Sometimes simple materials+smart design=huge results.
Let me know what you think, would you try building something like this?
Hello, I’ll be sharing hands-on engineering content-everything from small builds and prototype ideas to design sketches, experiments, and “hypothesis vs. result” posts. If you like mechanical, electrical, or DIY-style engineering projects, you’re in the right place. Stay Tuned!
Hello! This is Workshop Engineering, we will focus on engineering content. There will be some products featured as well as designing, building, and discussion content for engineering related topics.
