Here is George Clooney’s response after Trump accused him of being a "Hollywood elite."
"Here’s the thing: I grew up in Kentucky. I sold insurance door-to-door. I sold ladies’ shoes. I worked at an all-night liquor store. I would buy suits that were too big and too long and cut the bottom of the pants off to make ties so I’d have a tie to go on job interviews. I grew up understanding what it was like to not have health insurance for eight years.
So this idea that I’m somehow the “Hollywood elite” and this guy who takes a shit in a gold toilet is somehow the man of the people is laughable.
People in Hollywood, for the most part, are people from the Midwest who moved to Hollywood to have a career. So this idea of “coastal elites” living in a bubble is ridiculous. Who lives in a bigger bubble?
He lives in a gold tower and has twelve people in his company. He doesn’t run a corporation of hundreds of thousands of people he employs and takes care of. He ran a company of twelve people!
When you direct a film you have seven different unions all wanting different things, you have to find consensus with all of them, and you have to get them moving in the same direction.
He’s never had to do any of that kind of stuff. I just look at it and I laugh when I see him say “Hollywood elite.” Hollywood elite? I don’t have a star on Hollywood Boulevard, Donald Trump has a star on Hollywood Boulevard! Fuck you!"

BREAKING: Legendary MSNBC anchor Lawrence O'Donnell destroys the Republican smear attacks on Joe Biden's age, says they have "a complete and utter misunderstanding of the work of the presidency."
But it gets even better...
In a fiery new viral segment, O'Donnell dismissed the "notion that Biden is too old" because the job of the president is to "make decisions, not speeches."
"History writes about the decisions," said O'Donnell. "That’s what matters. If you have worked in government you know that because speechmaking is the only thing that the news media is allowed to watch" so the media "insists that that must be important."
"It's just like the Super Bowl. You can remember what Patrick Mahomes did on the field but you can't remember a word of his speech and that's for a very good reason. The job is on the field," he went on.
"Everyone who sees Joe Biden doing his job behind closed doors says he is fully capable to do that job and is good at that job — including former Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy who, though he disagrees with Joe Biden, always thought President Biden was fully capable when he was in the room negotiating with him last year," said O'Donnell.
"Last year when Joe Biden managed to do what seemed impossible and convinced the Republican Speaker of the House to go along with a deal that would prevent the United States of America from defaulting on its debt for the first time in history and violating the debt ceiling," O'Donnell went on. "It looked impossible at the outset but Joe Biden did it."
Well said! Despite the constant attacks from MAGA world and the nonstop lies, Joe Biden's record speaks for itself. The economy is booming, infrastructure is growing, and our rights are secured. He is, by every metric, a historic success.
Four more years!

HOW DID TONY ABBOTT BECOME PM? And kick out the Rudd/Gillard Labor government? Well.. It was a case of our media brainwashing people. When Julia Gillard was PM, The Murdoch press with it’s ownership of two-thirds of Australia’s metropolitan papers, their attack dogs in News Corp went for Julia Gillard’s throat. When her government announced the details in a comprehensive package for a clean energy future, the Murdoch tabloids and broadsheets bombarded Australians with shrill opposition and no pretence at balance.
According to the University of Technology, Sydney’s research on news per climate policy between 62 and 89 per cent of articles in News Corp were negative.
In Melbournes Herald Sun 96 per cent of newspaper articles and columns were negative.
Andrew Bolt also syndicating his options to Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide.
In all of this, Tony Abbott framed the ‘Clean Energy Future’ as a “great big tax.”
We also had 2GB and 3AW doing their bit for the LNP
The fear mongering on the climate policy has put us behind the rest of the developed world on climate action. With media being PR for the LNP. And scaring people into voting for them.
The Rudd/Gillard government did a lot. We had the best economy in the world in this time. They brought us the NDIS. But it wasn’t talked about in the media. We are seeing the same thing now with this Labor government. Media just has the voices from the Liberal Party voice their opinions across the board. Without fact checking or correcting if it’s accurate or not. And sadly, now the ABC is now doing it.
When Albo was opposition, we hardly heard anything from him. Our media didn’t report what he had to say on every single thing the former government was doing.
So be noisy about it. Call it out. And point out what Labor has done and are going without being sucked into the parts that aren’t perfect. Labor has already done more than the LNP did in 9 years. But they have the majority of our media on their side. So it’s up to us to point stuff out.

I hate this line of questioning re: the woman being drunk. Men get blind drunk and it's not an issue or worth bringing up at all. Women are allowed to get pissed too ffs. #BruceLehrmann

I deleted a tweet about this earlier because bragging makes me feel awkward, but fuck it, I worked hard for this:
I got a Cullman fellowship (an office in the NYPL overlooking Fifth Avenue); and I finished a 1000-page draft of a biography that has consumed six years of my life.
