Thanks to my elder sister from another mother, @DeepikaBhardwaj and @ekamnyaay , for inviting me to the special screening of Bandar, featuring Bobby Deol and Sanya Malhotra, directed by Anurag Kashyap and produced by Nikhil Dwivedi and Zee Studios.
It is indeed a special film in many ways. Inspired by real events,"Bandar " tells the story of a fading television star who finds himself at the center of a rape allegation made by his former partner. What follows is a complex and uncomfortable journey through accusations, public perception, media trials, the legal system, and the question of whether justice is always as straightforward as it appears. In a time when conversations around these issues have become increasingly polarized, this film dares to explore the grey areas. Releasing in cinemas on 5th June, it is a film that will stay with you long after you leave the theatre.
As a storyteller, one of the things I cherish most is meeting people from different walks of life and listening to their perspectives. This evening gave me exactly that opportunity.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone I met at the event for making me feel so welcome and valued. I was genuinely touched by the warmth, excitement, and kindness people showed while speaking to me. Hearing so many positive words about my work and learning how Wronged has impacted people from such diverse professional backgrounds, from psychologists to aspiring forensic experts, was both humbling and motivating.
I also had a meaningful conversation on the need for gender equal laws with Atul Subhash's brother, Vikas Modi ji. Discussions like these remind me how important it is to keep having honest conversations about the issues that shape our society.
The evening also introduced me to some deeply moving personal stories, stories that shook me from within and left a lasting impression. I will do my best to bring some of these stories to all of you through my channel in the future, because they deserve to be heard.
Grateful for the invitation, the conversations, the new connections, and an evening that gave me much more than just a film to watch. ❤️🙏🏻
His only mistake was to ask these three men to not tease women. They thrashed him, beat him up, kept assaulting him until he passed out.
Please arrest them and give these goons the same treatment @DelhiPolice
