Sunk by gunfire from heavy cruiser Admiral Hipper in Norwegian Sea in position 67º20'N, 04º10'E. She had sailed form Malanger Fjord to escort the tanker Oil Pioneer to Scapa Flow.

She hoisted her battle ensigns & opened fire with her 12 pdr.

23 of her ship’s company were sadly lost. 4 survivors were picked up by the Hipper.
