Cold take: most “AI productivity” tools are useless.
AI is only useful when it sits inside workflow and can suck out context fast.
YC call this company brain, most teams can implement it within 1 day without buying external SaaS:
1. Get your APIs ready
2. Throw them to claude
3. Ask it to decide what data it wants to pull and why
4. Build your visual interface so you can understand what's popping
That's it, great way to save money from useless AI tools, if you then connect them to the action layer you can entirely skip the AI slop era and actually be productive.
P.S. We automated 70% of our daily work at Gingercontrol & Peony through these methods, those who can't do it are just lazy
YC is approaching Demo Day, and the top performers are already reaching $1m+ ARR.
Almost all of them are navigating $50k-$250k ACV deals with a nearly identical post-demo motion:
1. Create a clean buyer workspace right after the first serious call using Peony or DocSend
2. Organize everything around how the buyer evaluates: ROI, security, legal, implementation, pricing
3. Write short summaries so champions can forward internally without rewriting the pitch
4. Index docs, enable AI for faster due diligence.
5. Track which stakeholders are engaging and what they care about
6. Follow up based on actual buyer intent, not guesswork
Outbound gets you into the conversation, but the best teams make it incredibly easy for the buyer to build consensus internally.
Spend 5 hours/ week doing these properly, and you will be a Top YC batch company quickly.
Funny how life goes about, it turns out we were both burnt out from tech for a variety of reason, but now we are working together on something that's been taking off lately 😂
I don't even know why I want to retweet this, but here we go, life goes around!
