As someone who plays a lot of shooters and extraction shooters, the answer is really easy.

Extraction Shooters have a "rich get richer" mindset. Early on this isn't an issue cause everyone is poor and the game hasn't been "solved" yet. But over time people figure out the mechanics and the sweats start to get into the game.

Now, in normal shooters this isn't a problem. You're in a lobby with maybe 20 people, half of them are on your side and if there is a god sweat, the match is only 10 minutes tops anyways so just tough it out and move on. The next game you'll still be exactly where you were.

In extraction shooters, the lobbies have 30-40 people in it and ALL of them are against you. Not only that you just died last round so you have very little gear to start with. Now you have to deal with 2 god sweats running around the map killing everyone just to do it and losing even more gear which makes you even poorer.

Extraction shooters are "late stage solved it" gaming. Some games need to waffle on for years before they're only a community of "solved it" gamers that prevent new players from joining, but extraction shooters speed run that cycle in a month or two.
