But in this clip, you can see the ref tell L’Jarius Sneed “put your helmet on”
Do they not know about the rule? Because why else would he be given the benefit of the doubt?

The Cubs actually owe Ronald an apology for their broadcast crew handling his moment like this. I get it, there are lots of tense emotions for that side. But you have to respect historical moments like this. They’re so incredibly rare at this level of history. Also, I really hope Dansby made sure to congratulate Ronald later because it was a tough look on the field. But I get it, big emotions for him involved. But that dude was your brother and you didn’t even say a word to him.
