Stop calling everyone you meet in life a friend. Define the type of relationship you have from the beginning & respect its boundaries: they are there to protect you. Friendship is one of the most significant forms of relationships, & the label shouldn't be used casually.

‘Refusing an entire class of people access to international banking is a way to further discriminate and exacerbate economic inequity.’
I could not agree more 👍🏽
Today was dreamy 🙌🏾.
I spoke to an audience of UK financial services experts/operators about the impact of ostracising entire swathes of people from international banking services.
After our session, I had different people come to me to say;
“Interesting session, I didn’t know the extent of the exclusion.”
“I wish your session was longer. It was my best today.”
“Yes! to eliminating stereotypical ideas and operations wrt banking internationals (e.g immigrants, remote workers etc)”
And so on.

For many entities around the world, touching USD isn’t an option (or nice to have) it’s a necessity to participate in the global economy.
For context, the dollar was traded in 88% of global FX transactions & it’s been this way for 20 years (see 📊) with no signs of slowing down.
Refusing an entire class of people access to international banking is a way to further discriminate and exacerbate economic inequity.
No one deserves to be excluded for something they have no control over like their country of birth (& nationality)
There is a way to appropriately bank internationals (e.g. provide USD accounts) and we need all hands on deck to achieve this.
It’s hard but NOT impossible, else no one would be doing it
