@estant067 @WeatherNation It is all about the storm structure and the way the vortex actually looks. In the picture, there’s no wall cloud. That is a big indication that it is not from a mesocyclone.

@WeatherNation Supercellular tornadoes form from the bottom up as well! Please don’t perpetuate the top-down myth. The difference is that landspouts (which ARE tornadoes) are not associated with a parent mesocyclone.
