@The_Weatherman2 Kittitas County here, we went from 18f to 9f in 10 minutes. Back up to 13f. Windchill at 9f at the moment. I'm expecting negative numbers tonight and this week.

@NWSSpokane What causes a weather advisory for temps to be issued? I'm learning the area in Kittitas County...we've had single digits...and again tonight are already at 9f right now, but not getting any cold weather advisories. What's the limit? Thanks!

Been busy moving to east of the cascades. These temps will take some getting use to!

Expecting negative temps tonight and next couple of days. Tonight the temp dropped 10f in 10 minutes.

The PNW experienced numerous lightning strikes this weekend, sparking new wildfires, adding to the region's high fire activity. Some holdover fires from these strikes may continue to pose a risk, especially with dry conditions and gusty winds.

@SeattleWXGuy I remember that day really well. I just got back from an epic sailing trip, 900 miles down the west coast, 70 miles off the pacific. Flew back into Seatac moments before they closed the airport. Hadn't slept in a couple days, got dinner in demoines marina area, enjoyed the show!

@RandySmall Starting to see it worsen in the central puget sound area as well. I knew this was coming at some point. Hopefully it doesn't last too long. My house is sitting at 51 on the AQI right now. Still ok, but I know how bad it can get.

#wawx #smoke #wildfire There's lost of smoke above us, but air quality is good right now. I don't know the science behind what causes smoke to reach the surface, but guessing we might be in for some lower air quality in the near future.
