Sifuna, we need to talk…

Not about your politics. Not about your platform. About the company you’re starting to keep.

There’s a pattern forming, and we Kenyans are watching.

People who spent years switching sides, dodging accountability, and rebranding every election cycle are suddenly finding their way into your circle. Not because they believe in what you stand for but because proximity to you is useful cover.

Let’s call it what it is: integrity laundering.

When someone with a track record of scandal, betrayal, or convenient amnesia starts showing up next to you, smiling for the cameras, nodding along at your rallies, they’re not endorsing your vision. They’re borrowing your credibility.

And here’s the thing: credibility doesn’t transfer. It gets diluted.

Every recycled politician who gets a seat at your table is a signal to the people who trusted you first. It says: maybe principles are negotiable after all. Maybe this was never different from the rest.

We didn’t back you because you were the safest bet. We backed you because you weren’t supposed to need the same old faces to survive politically.

So here’s our ask, plainly:

Choose your circle like your legacy depends on it, because it does.

The people who stood with you when it cost them something are worth more than the ones showing up now that it’s convenient.

Kenya doesn’t need another leader surrounded by yesterday’s compromises wearing today’s rhetoric.

We’re watching who you let in. Choose wisely.

Let’s address the elephant in the room because I feel like many people don’t want to have this conversation😳

So the plan is to vote for Sifuna simply because he can help get Ruto out? As long as Ruto is gone, then we’re good? Haven’t we been here before? Isn’t that exactly how Ruto benefited from the anger against Uhuru&Raila ?
And before that, wasn’t Uhuru’s victory also driven in part by a wave of sympathy over the ICC cases and the feeling among many supporters that it was time to stand with him and push back against those they believed were targeting him? Look at how Uhuru’s administration left this country? Haven’t we already seen where voting out of anger or emotion, instead of demanding better leadership, leaves this country?

The next election cannot just be about who is most likely to defeat Ruto. It has to be about who has a clear plan to deal with corruption, protect the Constitution, end abductions and extrajudicial killings, fix our broken healthcare system, reform education, create jobs, reduce the cost of living, tackle public debt, restore independent institutions and ensure there is real accountability in government.

I understand the thinking. The common enemy is Ruto, and the enemy of my enemy quickly becomes a friend. But I refuse to believe that after everything this country has been through, Kenyans are ready to settle for people with serious questions hanging over them simply because they are the fastest route to removing one man from power. A perfect example, Aisha Jumwa😂

We cannot keep voting against someone. At some point, we have to start voting for something. Otherwise, we’ll keep changing faces while the system that keeps failing Kenyans remains exactly the same.

You cannot build a movement around accountability, integrity and putting Kenyans first, then turn around and recruit the very politicians who represent everything people have been complaining about for years.
If this is the standard, then “Linda Mwananchi” risks becoming just another political rebrand with a catchy slogan. Also @orengo_james this is beneath you!

This is the same Aisha Jumwa who has spent years at the center of political controversy, changing political camps, facing persistent integrity questions, and becoming a symbol of the kind of politics many Kenyans say they want to leave behind. Ruto just spent 40 minutes trying to create a false equivalence between our national values set out in the constitution and his so called “development”. Kenyans, please trust me when i tell you there is a reason the Preamble comes before Article 43. You don’t get to the “development “ clauses until and unless you have taken into account the reasons we passed this constitution in the first place. Democracy, Human Rights, Freedom, Equality, Rule of Law and Social Justice.
