Look at our fantastic collaborative art work inspired by Giuseppe Arcimboldo. Huge thanks to one of our very talented parents for coming in to work with Year 1.
Year 1 had a fantastic time last week preparing their banquet for the King from the story 'The Cook and the King'. We had lots of questions for our King and loved asking him all about his chef over a healthy and balanced meal.ππππ π«π₯π«π₯π
Keeping our bodies healthy isn't all about running around - we have been trying different activities like Zumba, dance and Karate. Here are a few of our highlights with Karate Kate.
Healthy week is about keeping safe too, so in our swimming lessons we've been learning how to rescue ourselves and our friends. And the Fire Service talked to us about safety at home too!
Day 1 of Healthy Week kicked off with Zumba with the wonderful Anny! We also had a fantastic workshop with St John's Ambulance, learning CPR, the recovery position, & what to do in an emergency.#lifeskills#healthylife
Presenting our play sufficiency assessment with 3 Welsh rural communities today at #IPAGlasgow2023, thanks to children at @WyeHay, @YsgolDu & @GwernyfedHS, communities of Llanigon, Three cocks and Talgarth for their willing participation and generous contributions to this work.
It's all about the body in Y3! Our big question to investigate was 'do taller people have a bigger lung capacity?' A visitor helped us learn how to keep our minds healthy, then we made models of the brain. We found ways to label the different areas of the brain. All in sunshine!
Blwyddyn 1 have loved watching their tadpoles grow and change over the last 6 weeks. Today we rehomed our froglets and tadpoles into our newly renovated school pond. Check out our video...
Year 3 - we have been learning about how to keep our hearts healthy. We wondered what activity affects our heart rate most. We used our multiplication skills to calculate our bpm. Maths in action!
Work on our school pond continues - today we were clearing the blanket weed ready for putting our native plants in. We carefully put it on the side so the little critters could crawl back into the water.
