@starplushi @aberiandoll But honestly speaking 'purr' is used almost exclusively in AAVE. Conversely, the sound a cat makes is referred to as 'purring' 99.9% of the time. So while it's technically not incorrect to refer to a cat sound as a 'purr', that's not how the term is commonly used and associated.
@fairyartmother Yes. To gaslight someone is to intentionally make them feel like they're 'crazy', or undermine their understanding of the facts in some other intentional way. To draw a parallel, someone has to know what they're saying is false for it to be a lie. Intention is key.
