For the first time, I am with President Suluhu on this. Why should she be forced to speak their language? Russia uses its own language, so she would need a translator anyway. Shouldn't she speak Swahili instead, forcing them to need a translator too?
How can you use limited State funds to start building a new airport in Anambra?
Anambra already has an airport. Anambra is close to Enugu, which has an international airport.
What about connecting Anambra to the Port Harcourt rail line? Or building a new gas-fired power station? Or developing an agro-processing hub?
No... you chose an airport.
Lack of strategic imagination.
True:
“They gave stock to everyone. There are a bunch of highly skilled workers that we on X never think of, like Tube Benders, Orbital Tube Welders, Cleanroom Technicians, etc. that are going to make significant fortunes.”
@SOCCARH1@inikoriinyang If your card doesn't require 2nd level authentication, your funds will be swept clean with just Card number and cvv.
Don't play.
@BekeeOzzy@winexviv Always best to hear from the other party before shouting "crucify him".
Now, we all can see that the school has a due basis for that fee.
To be passionate, holding certain views is allowed but that may not be the accurate position.
I had a loved one who was so angry with pentecostals until his life was on the line, and it was Papa Benson Idahosa's Faith Mediplex that saved him from certain death.
Till he left the earth, he was always speaking blessings upon Church of God Mission and its founder. That room for change of opinion should be open.
Thank you, Big Chief for the light you brought on this matter.
The mobilisation, based on its framing of problems, DOES invite violence & hate. There is no way it is not going to result into mass looting & bloodshed.
We know what we are talking about. We have organised marches since we were teenagers. We have looong engaged in nation scale agitation against - corruption, fees, anti-black racism and white supremacy. We have done nationwide shutdowns, confronted the establishment right from its heart for economic freedom & international solidarity.
We are not NEW to this! We know it!
We can see Counter-Revolution from far!
It will not end well! Above all: it will not have any social or economic benefit from it. Zero! Just a country in ruin!
We keep telling you, stop it, but you think you are heroic. Your handlers seek the destabilisation and international isolation of South Africa. And you are handing it to them on a silver platter- it will not end well!
There is a BETTER way to deal with your problems: this is not it.
You left those who are the cause of your unemployment, poverty and corruption unchallenged. You will only succeed to ruin your country- that is all!
Again: I impress on you- stop this movement, it only leads to self-mutilation, self-sabotage and self-ruin
The Black Edison - Granville. T. Woods
Granville T. Woods (1856–1910) was a prolific American inventor and electrical engineer who held more than 60 patents during his lifetime.
Often called the "Black Edison" for his significant contributions to electrical and mechanical engineering, he is best known for revolutionizing the railway industry with inventions that made train travel safer and more efficient.
Key Inventions and Contributions
Woods focused much of his work on transportation and communication, including:
Synchronous Multiplex Railway Telegraph (1887):
His most notable invention, which allowed communication between moving trains and train stations using induction. This "original texting system for trains" helped prevent countless collisions by letting dispatchers track train locations.
The "Troller" and Third Rail: He developed a grooved wheel (the troller) that allowed streetcars to pull electricity from overhead wires, leading to the term "trolley". He also contributed significantly to the third rail system used in modern subways.
Automatic Air Brakes: He improved train safety by patenting an automatic air brake system, which was later sold to the Westinghouse Air Brake Company.
Telegraphony: A device that combined features of the telephone and telegraph, allowing users to send voice and Morse code messages over a single wire. This patent was purchased by Alexander Graham Bell.
Diverse Innovations: His range extended beyond railways to include an egg incubator and electrical dimmers for theaters.
Challenges and Legacy
Despite his brilliance, Woods faced intense racial discrimination and legal battles. Most famously, Thomas Edison twice sued him, claiming ownership of the multiplex telegraph; Woods won both cases.
Edison was so impressed that he eventually offered Woods a job, which Woods declined to remain independent.
