After getting the message from Vintage to go pack his bags, Double had no hesitation on getting up, opening the unlocked door, and coming back inside from off of the porch.+

@VinXBlood He rubs the back of his head awkwardly, even though he's aware that Vintage isn't looking. "I mean-- I dunno. You just seemed like the type to want everything orderly, maybe? I just assumed that, I guess."+

@VinXBlood He took a moment to pick up the small purple plush. "You don't make the bed? Deadass? You were the last person I expected to hear that from, not even gonna lie."

@VinXBlood Double was certainly listening, and it was clear not because of him catching the stuffed animal, but because of his expression. He found himself in shock at the other's comment on the bed. "Wai-" He gets hit by the stuffed animal. "Ack-"+

@VinXBlood He couldn't stand sitting around for long though... Stubbornness just seems to be an X-Blood trait. The next thing Vintage knew, Double had put the soda can down on the table as well, and with a huff began remaking/straightening the bed. It was a victim of the crossfire.

@VinXBlood "Hey! I never said you couldn't, I was just asking. It would make it go faster." As he speaks, he tries to get a glimpse at the book covers-- though he didn't catch onto many. After, he went back to sitting how he was before, sipping on more of the soda and texting more.+

@VinXBlood However, he only got a few sips in (as well as a few texts to Eging in) before he caught onto what Vintage was doing, and so he promptly lowered his phone and can to look over at the guy. "Want some help?"

@VinXBlood As Vintage gave him the confused look, Double gestured to the bottle in his hands as a silent pointer in the right direction, unsure if the inkling fully heard him or not. Seeing that his message did get through though brought him enough relief to open his own drink.+

@VinXBlood ...Soon enough, he found the silence a bit too overwhelming, and so he lightly nudged Vintage with his elbow then spoke. "Hey, drink. You need to."

@VinXBlood The sudden shift from bawling and being clingy to suddenly being just as cold again... While it wasn't unusual to see this, it didn't give Double full relief. He still had concerns that the other was getting haunted.+

@VinXBlood Upon hearing footsteps approaching, he put the phone away again and looked up. He immediately noticed the second drink, but still hesitated when he went to take it from Vintage. "Oh shit, thanks!"

@VinXBlood He also wondered if Vintage was going to be okay. Probably not, admittedly, but-- this was a start.

As his mind wandered, he suddenly remembered his conversation with Eging Jr. The inktoling takes a moment to pull his phone back out, and to type a quick update message.+
