Sons of Fenris, we roar!
Born from ice, made for war!
Ashen wolves! Claws of steel!
In the fire of battle we feel!
Blades that sing! Blood that runs!
To the sky we raise our guns!
For honor and the Wolf King's name!
We ride through death! Through fire! Through flame!
@bruce_straley Some of the absolute GREATEST GAMES EVER have come out of uncertain, unstable times from developers. Especially smaller teams. Further, wasn't Naughty Dog famous for crunch culture work environments? That's not "stable environments" at all to work under.
@kaiju_tv@demenishki Because she's not actually live. It's the VOD channel. She's farming viewership by driving people to the VOD channel using the drama.
In other words, she's still being a bitch.
@J0hnSemen So instead of actually addressing the problem the majority of the people had with what she said, aka the hypocritical stance where it's not okay for AI Art to be there but it's okay to strip the jobs away for writers with AI Dialogue and AI Story, she throws a temper tantrum.
@J0hnSemen My problem with what she said, is right after saying she's not okay with it being used for art, she says she's fine with it for dialogue and story. Artists losing their jobs is a no no, but writers losing their jobs is okay with her? Really? Double standard.
@tsabico But then in the next sentence she says she doesn't care if it's used for dialogue or story. So she's okay with writers losing their jobs, but not okay with artists losing their jobs?
Double standard. If you're against gen ai, be against gen ai. Don't cherry pick the parts.
@Gothmiddiegf My guess is that Blizzard went after them specifically for being the biggest, and that they have their own Classic+ coming up. They did the same with Nostalrius before they originally launched Classic. It's typical Blizzard. (Yes, I hate them too)
@TieGuyTravis@MarathonTheGame You complained about the same things in Marathon as CD. Bad UI, bad onboarding, generic characters, frustrating movement, cumbersome controls. Sound familiar?
Yet you gave Marathon a 9, and Crimson a 6. Same complaints, different score. Your subjective bias is showing, hard.
@SRosebrace The same thing happened with Wukong.
Gamers loved it, critics hated it.
This game does absolutely 0 to hand hold, guide, or pamper the player. Of course journalists are going to hate that. IGN gave it a 6/10, the same IGN that gave Highguard a 7/10 and other flops high scores.

@camtalksgames@EmperorZetta@Joshiepoo25 100k people tried it and dropped it. The reason why the studio's done is because people didn't play it. The lead devs told us all they didn't need the player counts and journalists gaslit everyone over the game's reception.
Who's delusional again?
@equibumm@EmperorZetta@Joshiepoo25 @equilbumm You can't "fix" the core of what is a boring, bland, generic experience. This game did nothing to stand out. It threw every 'trend' of the last 10 years of F2P shooters into a pot without understanding what makes them work. You can't "fix" core design flaw. Delusional.
@larryemcdaniel@Joshiepoo25@PaulTassi@larryemcdaniel This is absolutely so disingenuous. No amount of 'internet hate' will stop a good product from finding it's footing. Toxic positivity is doing these developers no favors. 100k people tried the game. They all quit. The game was BORING.
@mikexil@ALexandrOdinec@Joshiepoo25@mikexil Why? What makes the game mandatory to sacrifice my time for it, or anyone else's?
The fact remains that no amount of "internet hate" would make the game flop if the game was good. It wasn't. It didn't hook players. Technical issues abound. Barely ran.
It was a BAD.
@Streaks____ @KokumajutsushiX @geoffkeighley Incredibly disingenuous. Smite has other sources of income, ad revenue from the esports leagues, a whole monetization system. Highguard has... nothing. It launched poor. It doesn't have whales to spend money to keep it afloat. It's DOA.
@IGN I just replayed it and sunk another 200 hours into it. So yeah, it's still EXACTLY the kind of game I want to play, Nesmith. I don't want hand holding, no player choice/freedom/consequence Skyrim, give me Morrowind any day.
@BellularGaming Anyone with even a shred of common sense saw this coming. The writing was on the wall for ages, and pushing forward with the Steam "launch" just confirmed it.
Cash shop in an alpha, $800k operational costs per week.
What a joke.
@geoffkeighley You acted like an arrogant, smug asshole leading up to the launch taunting people publicly over it, doubling down and saying you were going to be 'accepting apologies'. Now that it blows up in your face, you want to act like like this? Yeah, no thanks dude. This is all on you.
@geoffkeighley This aged well, didn't it Geoff?
I think it's the reverse, sir. You hyping this game up was far worse.
It's got massive technical issues, optimization issues, match making issues, 3v3 is hardly "revolutionary", the PVE elements aren't even there, and consensus is it's boring.
