The narrative around Kojima's Physint and PlayStation is interesting. I've seen several podcasters frame it as PlayStation "losing" Physint to Xbox, when the game is still coming to PlayStation. Part of the reported breakdown involved increased funding demands for an IP PlayStation doesn't own and a game that wasn't going to remain exclusive to the platform. Which is why PlayStation walked away.
