First publication as a resident at @HenryFordHealth! Examining the number of stages taken between KAs and cSCCs:
- fewer Mohs stages needed for KAs than cSCCs, possibly a representation of less subclinical extension
- no KAs recurred after Mohs
The first six months of derm residency have been a blast so far. Met and learned from amazing, smart individuals, enjoying what I do, and researching some neat things (lasers, sunscreen, and Mohs studies) all along the way :)
I am so excited to see what AI can do with dermatology in the next 5-10 years. Hopefully will be able to work with it more as I start my derm residency
What can you give when someone with atopic derm on dupilumab still has remaining disease? Maybe some apremilast - check out this investigator-initiated trial I worked on at Tufts with Dr. Rosmarin in @TheJEADV! https://t.co/vZbfmYgR7l
Huge fan of dupilumab (gave multiple end-of-rotation presentations on its efficacy in AD and off-label uses), but this is very interesting, food for thought...
Overall: good luck! Take this early if you can, especially if youโre in a prelim/transitional year, but take it seriously, especially if youโre far out from the material
After taking it: I felt good after Day 1, switched my attention to the patient management portion and CCScases for Day 2. Felt worse after, but ended up passing well above the cutoff.
