OPENING THIS WEEK: THE BROWNING VERSION
by Terence Rattigan
Directed by William B. Davis
Oct 31 - Nov 15 at Jericho Arts Centre
Andrew Crocker-Harris (portrayed by Douglas Abel) a classically brilliant scholar but unsuccessful teacher is forced by ill health to leave his secure position for a low paying reform school. Caught in a loveless marriage with his younger, vibrant wife, he faces a bleak future. The seemingly mild-mannered Crocker-Harris is mocked by his colleagues and nicknamed by his pupils, "the Crock”, for being strict, stern and humourless. And yet, on his second last day of term, his life is turned upside down…

I've lost an incredible friend. Rest well Mark and thank you. https://t.co/rwbEquIIMq

Another loss. Mark Snow’s legacy will forever be connected to his iconic work on “The X-Files,” but he also crafted memorable music for many other series.

I chatted with him at length several times about our approaches to work and life. He was always charming and friendly.❤️

[MelT @DrDuchovny]

@XFilesNews When I met Mark Snow at X-Fest, he asked “No one has signed the UFO yet, can I sign there?” I said “Of course, the music was a big part of the show.” Him “Are you sure?” Me: “Yes!” Then he wrote out the opening notes to #TheXFiles 🫡

[X-Files News @XFilesNews]

In 2013, Mark Snow submitted this lovely note to our 20th anniversary roundup for the fans of #TheXFiles & it feels so poignant to read today. "My love for you will never die, even after I'm gone. I know I'll be hearing the magic whistling rising upward!" https://t.co/QSn7eP4Rqd

[X-Files News @XFilesNews]

We're absolutely heartbroken to share composer Mark Snow has died at age 78. Mark's soundtracks for The X-Files were a character themselves, shaping the mood and the heart of the series. He was a delight to know and will be truly missed. https://t.co/XhNVkjvkBC

[X-Files News @XFilesNews]

From X-Fest in 2019, watch Mark's panel where he shared thoughts about his music, told the story of presenting that famous theme to FOX execs, and answered fan questions https://t.co/ev81Hx0K2z
