As Women in Medicine Month comes to an end, a throwback to one of my first cases as a staff cardiac surgeon at the Cleveland Clinic — back in 2024.

For the first time, I found myself in an OR with an entirely female team: anesthesia, perfusion, nursing, and fellows. A special moment then and even more meaningful to me now as a new mom navigating this next chapter!

Grateful every day for the incredible women I work alongside and learn from. ❤️
